Ormai la sera davanti alla TV per il bollettino di guerra. Quanti nuovi malati? Quanti morti? Quanti guariti?
L’aumento è ancora esponenziale e gli esperti ci dicono che nei prossimi giorni peggio verrà a causa della incredibile migrazione dal nord al sud di 7 giorni fa.
E tuttavia due sono le novità che ci danno qualche speranza.
I deceduti, sempre troppi, hanno una età media di oltre 80 anni e soprattutto, solo due non avevano patologie concomitanti. Come a dire che il virus ha rappresentato una concausa e non è stato, almeno esclusivamente, la causa di morte.
Altra notizia è che i così detti portatori sani o portatori con lievi sintomi sono molti di più di quelli che con il tampone sono stati diagnosticati come malati. Questo dato se ci fa immaginare una diffusione del virus molto più ampia di quella che pensavamo, dall’altra indica che la letalità ha un tasso assimilabile a quello di una semplice influenza e che molti sopportano l’infezione virale in modo asintomatico.
TANTI MOTIVI IN PIU’ PER RIMANERE A CASA
